Give an oral exam as well as the written exam to test the students' language skills. Working in class sizes of 4 people or less is an easier way to learn because the course can be tailored to the students' needs.

Teacher Training

In the field of Chinese language teacher training and professional development, our school has had rich experience in the design, development and delivery of programs.

We offer programs in overseas Chinese language teachers at any levels, and for those who require a qualification in teaching Chinese as a second language. Several programs have been undertaken in collaboration with institutions and educational corporations in Thailand, The USA, and The UK.

Chinese & Methodology Program

The Chinese & Methodology program is a professional development program for Chinese language teachers.

Chinese Course Outline

The program provides a combination of Chinese language training and Chinese teaching methodology with a focus on:

  • Development of Chinese language communicative fluency.
  • Development of Chinese language fluency in skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing,
  • Development of awareness and familiarization with communicative teaching methodologies.
  • Development of and practice in strategies to promote classroom teaching and learning.
  • Micro-teaching and materials development.
  • 2-day cultural activities, learning about and experience Chinese culture, lifestyle and environment.

Except for the classroom-based program, participants will attend Chinese languages classes being taught by experienced languages instructors at local schools to observe classroom teaching. An examination is held at the end of the program.

At the end of the program, participants will take part in a Program of Completion Ceremony and a farewell function with their homestay families.
