Give an oral exam as well as the written exam to test the students' language skills. Working in class sizes of 4 people or less is an easier way to learn because the course can be tailored to the students' needs.

Chinese New Year Party at Inmandarin China Chinese school in Shanghai

Learning chinese is not only learn Chinese languae, but also learn Chinese Cultue and Custom. In-Mandarin Chinese School in Shanhgai organized a Chinese New Year Party on Monday, Jan. 19th. 30 students took part in with some of our teachers here to celebrate our Chinese New Year together.

We created a funny afternoon party together with many games, such as Paper-cutting, Spring Festival Couplets writing, Dumpling making, Characters games as well as a Chinese traditional cloth experience! This Chinese new year will be the first experience for almost all of our students and the Chinese culture activities on the party also fresh to them.

Many girls and boys learnt the paper-cutting, which needs a lot of patience and carefulness, and it is amazing that even some boys did very good job, so we believe that they can also do very well on  learnning Chinese which requires the same characteristics.

Students also had opportunities to learn the Chinese calligraphy and we had quite professional   calligraphy teacher  writing spring festival couplets, which is also fresh to them.

At the Chinese character games section, the students are devided to two teams: "Hongniu (Red Cow)" team and "Jinniu (Golden Cow)" team, they compete with each other to guess the Chinese words from the other student's body language or explanation. This game not only helped them to practice Chinese but also train their teamwork abilities, so everyone worked hard on it. By the end, the "Jinniu (Golden Cow)" team wins and they had big prize, of course we also prepare some other prize for all the rest students.

The Chinese traditional costumes part is quite interesting, we have Hanfu supplier bringing many Hanfu and our students tried on them, they learnt the history of Hanfu and also felt it, they looked exciting about this culture and this experience.

The last part - Dumpling wrapping is quite funny to everybody, for some of them this was the first experience and almost all of them like eating Dumplings, especially when they enjoyed their own works they were quite exciting. 

The party lasted for about 3 hours, and on this party, students also made new friends with more students, so they felt quite satisfied and happily to join in. We also glad that we organized a very successful party for the students to feel real China.
